Organizers' DataBase …

… news to me!

ODB was made available for public download in March 2002 to give grassroots organizations the ability to immediately start using a high-quality database product.”

Stallman's Savannah; alternative to SourceForge

Savannah, “This web site (called Savannah) is a central point for development, distribution and maintenance of GNU Software.”

It's a Wiki World!

From PlanetMath‘s “Noosphere” project (a nice set of resources listed on this page), to CITIDEL, “Computing and Information Technology Interactive Digital Educational Library” produced by a consortium led by Hofstra University, The College of New Jersey, The Pennsylvania State University, Villanova University, and Virginia Tech.
See “What is a digital library?” here, and also “Noosphere’s Authority Model“.

A coupla links from a friend (who's defending his PhD today!)

* BP Center for Visualization; a new research Center at the University of Colorado.
* Cal3d, a skeletal based 3d character animation library. (Boy, I sure wish I had /this/ 6 years ago! Imagine building a human frame from scratch. Now imagine adding a really complex node structure for each and every joint you want to animate. Hint: nothing works well if you cut corners; give up, and put in /all/ the joints. Believe me, there really are just as many joints as you imagine!)

*Good luck, Carmien!*

* Here’s what I’ve bothered *sigh* falsely signing onto this network to post: Information Growth & Diffusion Simulator. Ooooh!
A rather handsome statement of principle
